Help shape the future of cancer services

The Royal Berkshire Hospital cancer team and Macmillan, with support from the Thames Valley Cancer Alliance are committed to ensuring those affected by cancer are able to shape the support and services available to them. With a range of key speakers and interactive workshop sessions, this event is designed to identify key issues that affect patients at different times during the cancer journey and to start shaping the ways those affected by cancer are informed, supported and treated.

The event is free. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.

Carers Rights Day event, Reading

Carers Rights Day is an annual event aimed at helping carers in their local community and to know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.

 Programme and talks will include:

  • Changings in benefits

Presentation from 10am – 12 noon

An expert in elder law will lead a presentation and discussion on the legal issues facing the elderly, providing practical guidance to help you avoid the pitfalls encountered around Powers of Attorney, Deputyships and Wills. There will be the chance to ask specific questions about the issues facing you and the person you care for.
